  10.        DESQview/X Patch for version 1.02 dated 4/27/92
  11.  
  12. This patchfile implements fixes to DESQview/X version 1.02. This patch
  13. will work ONLY on DESQview/X version 1.02. The dates on the WINX.EXE (in
  14. your DVX directory) and on XGLUE.DLL (in the WINX subdirectory of your
  15. DVX directory) should be 4/27/92. If the date on these files is later
  16. than 4/27/92,  you do not need this patch.

  18. This patch fixes two problems:
  19.  
  20. 1. Random GP faults occurring and being detected inside of Windows 3.1
  21.    while running under WINX.
  22.  
  23.  
  24. 2. Crash occurring when characters are rapidly typed at the keyboard.
  25.    This is the same bug as when a DVX mark and transfer is done to
  26.    Microsoft Write.
  27.  
  28. This patch should be applied by copying the files which should accompany
  29. this README (WINXPAT.EXE, WINXPAT.RTP, WINXPAT.RTD, and PATWINX.BAT) into
  30. your DESQview/X directory, and then typing
  31.

  34. After the patch has been successfully applied, you may delete the
  35. following files (if any still exist) from your DVX directory:

  37. WINXPAT.EXE
  38. WINXPAT.RTP
  39. WINXPAT.RTD
  40. PATWINX.BAT
  41. README.WIN (this file)
